The Bristol Web Designer, also known as Andrew Talbot, started his journey into web design after moving to Bristol in the late 1990s.
Previously, he work with screen and lithographic printing, after serving his apprenticeship. Then went on to train as a graphic designer.
In 1989, he got his first personal computer and very quickly became proficient in its use and fascinated by its potential. The World Wide Web had been announced and by 1991 Tim Berners-Lee, the founder, launched the very first website.
During the 1990s, Andrew became a freelance IT consultant. For a few years, he worked for companies such as Coca-Cola, EMAP, Network Rail, NatWest, and the Bristol & West Building Society. Meanwhile, website commissions had started to roll in; initially, from local artisans – a sculptor, a photographer, a fellow graphic designer, and a film production company. But it wasn’t until the early noughties when he was invited to contribute towards the MSN music download website, that things started to change.
He launched his first web design company in 2003 and started to attract more clients, not just from the UK but from Europe and North Africa. Since then, Andrew has honed his skills and has become one of the most in-demand web designers in Bristol.
